The text for Dream is a poem titled "Trifle," by Georgia Douglas Johnson. I have had to be separated from many people in my short life so far. Often, when this happens, specific objects, songs, or experiences cause me to remember them. The association is often unexpected at first, but as time progresses, I purposefully seek out those trifles to remind myself of the friendship that was, that still exists, and that has potential to keep growing, even though the distance that temporarily separates us makes it difficult.
